Elixir by Jennifer L. Armentrout

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Content warning: forced servitude

What does it say when your 70+ page novellas are better than your 300+ page books?

I mean besides the obvious of you should think about re-working your books into all novellas for this series.

Despite the forced servitude, this was the second best book in this series (the first being Daimon, the first novella).

The struggle that Aiden showed actually felt real and like he really cared about her (which has been an off and on thing in the series).

But it aggravated me that he claims he remembers everything she’s ever said but it took him so long to remember the thing he promised her. That makes me think he might have been lying or not fully paying attention (which is possible because of the grief he was feeling about them connecting).

In other news, I still hate Seth. And the cover is still pretty.
