Me and Mr. Darcy
Me and Mr. Darcy by Alexandra Potter
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Content warnings: false accusations of character

So this book was entirely predictable. In a bad way. There’s good predictable and bad predictable. Good predictable for me, means that yes you can predict what’s happening but you’re still really invested in the characters and the story. Bad predictable for me, means that you can predict what’s happening and you’re not invested in the characters or the story and just kind of reading just to say you actually finished it.

I ADORE Pride and Prejudice and varying adaptations on it. But this…this was just crap and the worst adaptation I’ve ever read. However. I can see this becoming a “comfort food” type of book for me. You know you shouldn’t read it but you’re down and need some cheering up so you pick up the wish fulfilment fantasy book because it’s an easy read and will make you roll your eyes and just go “really?”.

So really it depends on your personal thoughts and feelings on books like this on whether it’s worth reading or not.
