Well….I finished the series. Now I don’t have to worry about it any more. So there’s that. *throws confetti*.
So the ‘nice guy’ syndrome thing. Basically comes down to geeky guy basically being a doormat and having unrequited feelings (initially) towards one of the lead girls and she using him for EVERYTHING and then by chance kissing him once and going “hey this is nice I think I have feelings for him” while everyone else has been telling her to date him (her friends) or to leave him (sorority sisters).
She also has a roommate that insists on stealing her stuff to give to a homeless guy rather than ask if she’d like to make a donation. There are just so many levels of weird clusterfuck that I can’t even get through all of them.
This book is a mess. I don’t recommend it. Even if you’re a completionist it’s a bad idea.
Then there’s a few racial stereotypes but after that, not much. The novelty of it being told entirely through text and IM is still pretty cool.
