I have to start this off with I don’t care much for the game of gridiron football. However, I really enjoyed this book. It was nice and short and quick.

And m/m is not exactly my genre of choice either. But when it’s well written like this is, it’s more than tolerable. It’s quite fantastic to read.

For this being the second book in the series and me not having read the first book, this can very much be read as a standalone. It has a HEA ending, and while I SERIOUSLY disagree with the whole “do what rom coms do and show up there” thing (mostly because usually it means someone is stalking someone else who has explicitly told them they aren’t interested) it was still pretty enjoyable to read with a better reaction that felt more honest and genuine than rom coms tend to be.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fact that condom use was not only implied but practiced. I almost cried tears of happiness over that. Definitely a favourite for me seeing in books.

Having read this, I’m still not much into gridiron but this was definitely an enjoyable and short read. I’d definitely recommend it.
