This book. This is where it all starts basically for the Shifter Squad Six series. And it’s a very good and very strong start to the series. And like the rest of the books, can be read as a standalone as well as in the series.
I have read this series completely out of order, but that doesn’t change my enjoyment of the series. It’s short-ish but feels longer than it is but it doesn’t make you feel like “come on this book should be over and done with already”.
She could stand on her own two feet, yes, but it was so much easier when she was allowed to lean on someone every now and then.
So. That quote. I adore the heck out of it. Because that should be true for everyone. That they can stand on their own two feet yes, but it’s easier when you have someone you can lean on every now and again. And that quote seriously resonates with me. Because yes, while you may not NEED any kind of relationship(friendships included), sometimes they actually can help. It’s like trying to pick up a heavy/awkwardly shaped object. Yeah. You may be able to do it on your own. But by asking someone else to help, they can take some of the load off of you and help you to be able to do the task. It’s not a sign of weakness. In fact, it’s more of a sign of strength. Because you have to be able to trust that person. Whether it’s trust them not to drop a heavy object on you or trust them to help keep you and yours safe.
This is a good book that I’d definitely recommend to others.
