Fairy Barometer
Fairy Barometer by Emily Martha Sorensen

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a free ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

So in this cute story, we get not only one but two senses. From two people related to each other. A grandmother and her granddaughter. I do enjoy that even though this series is for kids that it’s not incredibly patronizing. Actually not patronizing at all. When things need to be explained, they’re explained in a way that kids can understand them and not in a “kiddie” kind of way (you know the kind where you get incredibly sugary tone in your voice and are slightly patronizing at having to explain something you think is simple). It also incorporates kids of different backgrounds and ethnicities. And doesn’t do so in a way that appears to demean or diminish the cultures that the kids are from (this is just in my opinion, I may be wrong if so please correct me).

All in all this is a cute kids story that I’d recommend.
